From the latest information on crime from Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal, he says a crime occurred earlier today.  Iberia Parish Sheriff's detectives were working their usual shift when they responded to a car dealership at 701 West Admiral Doyle Drive in New Iberia.

Detectives at the scene says that they saw two male juveniles running away from a car at the dealership.  Detectives were able to catch one of the suspects, but they were unsuccessful in catching other young person.  The owner of the car lot told detectives that two of his vehicles at the dealership had been broken into.  The man says it was obvious that someone had tampered with the radios in each of the vehicles.

The 15-year-old juvenile that was stopped on the parking lot of the car lot was charged with two counts of vehicle burglary, criminal trespassing, flight from an officer along with a curfew violation.

Detectives say they are still working to figure out the identity of the second juvenile that was seen running away from the scene.  Anyone with information about the additional suspect is asked to the call the Iberia Parish Sheriff's office at 337-369-3714.
