New Iberia Man Accused Of Stealing Metal From Trade School

A New Iberia man has been arrested following an investigation into metal stolen from the Louisiana Technical College.

Captain Ryan Turner says 22-year-0ld Joshua Baldwin stole roughly $5,000 worth of metal from the school between March 16 and March 23.

"Deputies were able to trace the stolen metal to scrap yards where Baldwin had sold the material to," Turner says.

Baldwin has been booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on various theft charges. Police don't believe Baldwin acted alone, and more arrests are expected, Turner says.
