New Iberia Man Arrested On Child Porn Charges

A New Iberia man has been booked into jail on charges of child pornography.

Capt. Ryan Turner with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office says they learned 18-year-old Zachary Owens had pornographic pictures of a 16-year-old girl on his cell phone. After questioning Owens about the picture, officers determined there was enough cause to arrest him.

Owens has been booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on a $20,000 bond.
