NEW IBERIA, La. (KPEL) -- Members of the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office SWAT team arrested a man wanted on charges of first degree murder after finding him hiding in the attic of a home.

Capt. Ryan Turner with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office says detectives learned 24-year-old Jamarcus Delcambre was hiding at a home on Jordan Street. Delcambre had been wanted on a charge of first degree murder stemming from an incident in August.

After discovering him in the attic, Delcambre was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail. He is being held without bond.

Another person, 24-year-old Darla Eaglin was also arrested on charges she assisted Delcambre in trying to hide from police.
