New Iberia Man Sentenced For Killing Black Bear
Earlier this year, a man from New Iberia pleaded guilty to killing a Louisiana black bear. The Louisiana black bear has been on the endangered species list for some 20 years.
Back in April, a New Iberia man decided to plead guilty to charges against him that he had killed a black bear. Cory Ronsonet will now be facing three years of probation along with 300 hours of community service. The man will also be paying a 3,000 dollar fine.
Ronsonet was given the sentence a federal magistrate. He pleaded guilyt for shooting the bear to death back in 2009 while he was in Vermilion Parish hog hunting.
