UPDATE: New Iberia Men Arrested For Sunday Night Shooting
UPDATE: The Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office reports that both suspects wanted for the shooting are in police custody.
Capt. Wendell Raborn reported the suspected shooter, Courtney Washington was arrested this afternoon for attempted second degree murder.
Bryan Dugas--wanted on a warrant for Accessory After the Fact to Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and Obstruction of Justice--turned himself in today.
Dugas was wanted in reference to a Nov. 7 shooting at the intersection of South Hopkins and Lombard Streets.
UPDATE: A second suspect in the shooting--Bryan Dugas-- is on the lam.
Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office investigators have secured a warrant for Dugas in reference to the shooting of Ambassador Lemelle.
The warrant is for Accessory After the Fact to Attempted 2nd Degree murder and Obstruction of Justice.
Bryan Dugas is believed to be and associate of Courtney Washington, who is wanted for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.
Bryan Dugas is a 20-year-old black male, 5’10”, 180 pounds and lives in New Iberia.

Courtney Deshawn Washington of New Iberia has been identified as a suspect after a 17-year-old boy was shot in the stomach in Iberia Parish on Sunday night.
Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office spokesman Captain Wendell Raborn says Courtney Deshawn Washington carried out the shooting on Ambassador W Lemelle. Courtney Washington is described as a black male, 6'5", 195 pounds and wears eyeglasses with thick lenses. Courtney Washington should be considered armed and dangerous.
