New Iberia Restaurant Destroyed By Fire

An early morning fire totally destroyed a popular New Iberia restaurant.

Five units from the New Iberia Fire Department responded to a call at 1:50am from Jane's Seafood at the corner of N. Landry Drive and Jane Street.

It took approximately two hours for the blaze to be contained. There were no injuries. The structure suffered heavy damage and the cause of the blaze is still under investigation. New Iberia Fire Chief Ronald Bourque says foul play is not suspected.
