New Iberia Woman Kidnapped, Found Safe

An early morning scare for a New Iberia woman. Deputies there tell us a woman was kidnapped there while walking at around 4:30 this morning.
A witness who was walking with the victim tells police the suspect, Christopher Adams, approached her and asked to speak with her. When she said “no”, Adams allegedly forced her into his car and drove off.
Deputies were able to track down Adams’ car a short while later and were able to find him and the victim in a house.
Adams has been arrested and booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on kidnapping charges.
