New Iberia Woman Robbed After Arranging To Meet Man On Facebook

NEW IBERIA, La. (KPEL) -- A 28-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday after arranging to meet a man she met on Facebook.

According to Iberia Parish Sheriff Louis Ackal, the victim was approached by two armed men when she arrived at the Mixon Street home. The two men stole an undisclosed amount of money from her, Ackal said.

The suspects are described as two black males. Both men were about 5-foot-8, the victim said. Both were wearing grey hooded sweatshirts and blue jeans, she said.
