The Iberia Parish Sheriff, Louis Ackal, reports that two people were arrested on drug charges Thurday after narcotics officers say the driver of a car failed to use his turn signal.

Agents executed a traffic stop of 29-year-old Keylan Vallot's car when he failed to use his signal when turning, and it turned out that Vallot, from Abbeville, had outstanding warrants from the Lafayette Police Department.

Vallot was charged with failure to identify and driving while under suspension.

His passenger, 28-year-old Danielle Picard, attempted to conceal a small amount of what was suspected to be methamphetamine in her toddler's clothes.

Picard was charged with possession of crystal methamphetamine and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile.

Both Vallot and Picard were then booked into the Iberia Parish Jail.
