BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — A company that makes U.S. flags for federal agencies plans a $340,000 investment at its facility in Bogalusa.

Gov. Bobby Jindal's office says Allied Materials & Equipment Co. is purchasing new embroidery equipment in a project that will add 21 jobs to the 21 already at the facility.

The new equipment will be used for the application of stars onto the blue section of the American flag.

The announcement of the expansion was made Thursday in a joint statement from Jindal and Steve Pack, the president of Allied Materials & Equipment Co.
