NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Ochsner (OX'-ner) Health System will be training Saudi Arabian medical graduates in research and clinical work.

The hospital system, based in a New Orleans suburb, says it signed an agreement earlier this week in Washington with the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission to the United States to take qualified Saudi graduates in its residency and fellowship programs.

It's the latest agreement between Ochsner and Saudi Arabia. Others are with King Abdulaziz University and the University of Tabuk System, to provide education and training for their faculty, staff and residents.

Ochsner's medical school is a campus of the University of Queensland School of Medicine, which is based in Brisbane, Australia.

Ochsner Health System is anchored by the Ochsner medical group which has over 900 physicians in over 90 medical specialties.
