NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Two months after a traffic accident left a 66-year-old woman dead in New Orleans, a 30-year-old man has been booked with negligent homicide.

Police tell The Times-Picayune (http://bit.ly/U5S5uo ) Johnas Dominick was allegedly speeding on Sept. 25 when he crossed an intersection without yielding the right of way and crashed into a car driven by Mary James. Later that day, James died from her injuries.

Detectives obtained a warrant to arrest Dominick on Nov. 20, and he was jailed Tuesday.

Dominick was released from jail on Wednesday after posting a $5,000 bond.

It was unclear whether Dominick has an attorney.
