New Orleans Saints Hold On For Win Over Atlanta
Saints Head Coach Sean Payton is back and so are the Saints!
Drew Brees had an outstanding game with 357 yards passing and two touchdowns leading the Saints to 23-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons. It was not an easy win with Roman Harper intercepting a tipped fourth down pass in the end zone with under a minute left.
Brees hit Marques Colston for a 25-yard touchdown pass which helped Colston set a franchise mark for catches with 533. Brees also hit tight end Jimmy Graham for a 7-yard score in the third quarter.
Atlanta QB Matt Ryan passed for 304 yards and 2 touchdown passes to Tony Gonzalez and Julio Jones. He drove Atlanta to the Saints 3 yard line in the final minute of the game but fell just short of scoring.
