Pace, who joined the Saints back in 2001, as an operations assistant, before becoming a scout in 2003, under former Saints' head coach Jim Haslett, had recently been the Director of Pro Scouting for the team, a position he had held since 2007.

The 36-year old Dallas, Texas native is a graduate of Eastern Illinois, where he played defensive end, and was a teammate with current Dallas Cowboys quarterback tony Romo, before turning his attention to football off the field.

Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis who also holds the title of Executive Vice President of the NBA's New Orleans Pelicans, remains in charge of the front office, but now, with Pace, has some much-needed help.
