NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The city of New Orleans will hold its second abandoned vehicle auction of 2012 on Thursday.

The Times-Picayune reports the auction will have 98 vehicles for sale, all of which have been discarded on neighborhood streets or left unclaimed by residents with excessive parking fines and fees.

Would-be buyers may register and preview the vehicles Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., though no one will be admitted after 3:30 p.m.

The online bidding feature allows people to preview and pre-bid on any vehicle prior to the live auction, get vehicle information and bid on vehicles online as the auction proceeds live at the auto pound.

All vehicle information is available on the Brown's Auction Co. website, www.brownsauction.com.
