New Signal Maybe Be From Malaysian Plane
PERTH, Australia (AP) — An Australian official says a search crew hunting for the missing Malaysian jet has located a new possible underwater signal.
The coordinator of the search off Australia's west coast says an Australian navy aircraft picked up a signal today, in the same area a ship first heard the sounds that officials say are consistent with an airplane's black boxes.
The aircraft has dropped sound-locating buoys by parachute in a pattern near where the signals were last heard.
