NFL players have gotten a lot of negative publicity lately. This player walked away, passing up millions of dollars, to help his fellow man. Jason Brown signed a $37.5 million dollar contract with the St. Louis Rams in 2009, making him the league's highest paid center. Brown was released in 2012, receiving offers from other teams, including the Baltimore Ravens, who went on to win the Super Bowl that season. He chose, instead, to walk away from the game, having made 25 million dollars. He now raises food for the needy on his 1,000 acre North Carolina farm. Brown says he learned about farming by watching YouTube videos. He's donated 23 tons of sweet potatoes, and 5 tons of cucumbers this season.
