Nineteen Cadets To Graduate From Lafayette’s ALETA
Nineteen police cadets will be graduating from the Acadiana Law Enforcement Training Academy this Friday night at UL.
The agencies represented in the 139th graduating class of the ALETA Police Training Academy are as follows:
- Abbeville Police Department
- Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office
- Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office
- Eunice Police Department
- Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office
- Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office
- Louisiana State University at Alexandria Police Department
- Ville Platte Police Department
Captain Kip Judice with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, in a press release, details the different areas of instruction for the cadets:
- Louisiana Criminal Law
- Constitutional Law
- Courtroom testimony
- Use of Force
- Firearms
- Report writing
- Crime scene security
- Interview and interrogation
The graduation ceremony will held Friday, July 20th at 6:00 p.m. at Wharton Hall Room room number 222 on the UL Campus. The commencement speaker for this event will be the Eunice Police Chief Ronald Dies.
