No Bail For Acadiana Mom Booked In Child’s Death

VILLE PLATTE, La. (AP) — A judge decided against setting bail for a woman from Turkey Creek who is being held in the death of her 15-month-old daughter.

A grand jury meeting Sept. 25 is expected to hear the case of 22-year-old Ayla Marie Lynch. The Town Talk reports (http://townta.lk/17JO1J7 ) that Lynch was ordered held without bail during a Wednesday hearing in Ville Platte.

Lynch was arrested Aug. 29 and booked with first-degree murder in the death of Brooklyne Mann.

Authorities said the child died April 14 after being severely beaten and given rubbing alcohol to drink.
