No Injuries In Mid-Day Lafayette Fire

Firefighters from the Lafayette Fire Department responded to a fire at 106 Galvez Drive at midday today and put out the blaze in fifteen minutes. The fire did spread rapidly and caused extensive fire and smoke damage in that short period of time.

The home owner discovered the fire upon returning home and quickly ran inside to save his elderly mother who was asleep at the time. Both escaped without injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
