A lawsuit aimed to block litigation against 97 of Louisiana's energy companies has been continued again.

Louisiana Oil and Gas Association president Don Briggs was a no-show in court for the second day in a row, and an LOGA spokesperson says Briggs has a heart condition that prevented him from appearing.

A judge threatened to rule Briggs in contempt of court if he did not appear today, but instead continued the case until March 10th.

LOGA is suing the state's attorney general to block a suit by the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority that asks energy companies to clean up after themselves or pay for damages.
