No Tax District Bill Heads For Final Vote

The Lafayette City Parish Council is scheduled to make a final vote on the ordinance that stops local government from creating taxing districts at the next council meeting. 

William Theriot's proposal, which closes the loophole that allows the council to vote on taxing districts, passed last night as an introductory ordinance.
