OAK GROVE, La. (AP) — The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating a deadly plane crash in West Carroll Parish.

Sheriff Jerry Philley tells The News-Star dispatchers received a call around 8:55 a.m. Monday that an airplane had crashed about 11 miles northwest of Oak Grove.

When deputies arrived at the scene, off La. Highway 585, Philley says they found a small single engine aircraft had crashed.
