NTSB Investigates Deadly Plane Crash In West Carroll Parish
OAK GROVE, La. (AP) — The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating a deadly plane crash in West Carroll Parish.
Sheriff Jerry Philley tells The News-Star dispatchers received a call around 8:55 a.m. Monday that an airplane had crashed about 11 miles northwest of Oak Grove.
When deputies arrived at the scene, off La. Highway 585, Philley says they found a small single engine aircraft had crashed.
The sheriff says Randy L. Capers, of Oak Grove, later died as a result of injuries suffered in the crash.
