Nurse Accused Of Conspiring To Bring Contraband Into Jail
FRANKIN, La. (AP) — Authorities say a Jeanerette nurse who works for a private health care company that serves the St. Mary Parish jail is accused of conspiring to bring contraband into the facility.
Sheriff's office spokeswoman Traci Landry tells 26-year-old Tiffany Sonnier was booked Friday after she admitted to the conspiracy.
Landry says Sonnier also was booked on counts of introducing contraband into a penal institution and possession of Adderall, a Schedule II narcotic, after deputies found the pills in her possession during the booking process.
It was unclear whether Sonnier has an attorney.
