WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama will be awarding the Medal of Honor today to 21 Army veterans who are no longer living.

They served during World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

Another three veterans, who also are receiving the award, are still alive.

The honors come after Congress ordered a review of whether service members of Jewish or Hispanic heritage, and others, were wrongly denied the medal because of prejudice.
