WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama and French President Francois Hollande (frahn-SWAH' oh-LAWND') meet today at the White House.

A military honor guard and 21-gun salute will greet Hollande when he arrives.

Also today, Hollande will thank six Americans for helping liberate France from Nazi German occupation during World War II.

He'll present them with the Legion of Honor medal at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall near Arlington, Va.
