LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- Lafayette City-Parish council member Kenneth Boudreaux, District 4, will be in attendance when U.S. President Barack Obama makes an appearance in New Orleans Friday.

According to a release from the council office, Boudreaux was invited to attend "Remarks by President Barack Obama at the Port of New Orleans."

Boudreaux is "honored to be among those selected and invited to attend," the release stated. "It is with enthusiasm and gratitude that he accepted the invitation, as he proudly and humbly prepare to represent the citizens of District 4 and his beloved community of Lafayette."

The President will be in New Orleans tomorrow to deliver his message on boosting U.S. exports.
