Obama To Meet With Top Republicans
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is meeting today with top House Republicans in hopes of breaking a budget impasse that has shut down part of the federal government.
The meeting comes as House Republicans consider advancing a short-term increase in the debt limit before the government risks going into default Oct. 17.
