WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is turning his attention to the severe drought threatening California.

Obama was traveling to the Fresno area today to draw attention to the state's worst dry spell in more than 100 years.

Later today, in Southern California, Obama was to address key foreign policy issues during a meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah (ab-DUHL'-uh) at the Sunnylands estate in Rancho Mirage.

Obama is expected to spend Presidents Day weekend in Southern California.
