Obama Uses Letterman To Talk To Muslim World

It’s bad enough that President Obama can’t take time away from golf and campaigning to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu but earlier this week he appeared on David Letterman.  It wasn’t a complete waste of time however because he used the time to talk directly to the Muslim world.  Who knew that the folks in Afghanistan, Yemen and other Muslim countries watched Letterman for late-breaking news?

Since the beginning of his term in office I’ve thought President Obama was a naive idealist and totally out of touch with the world and now I know I’m right.  According to Reuters the President said,

“The message we have to send to the Muslim world is we expect you to work with us to keep our people safe.  We expect their full cooperation because that’s the only way the world works.”

The President made those comments in reference to the death of Ambassador Chris Stephens and three others in Libya.  This man is totally out of it!  He doesn’t get the fact that radical Muslims are killing American soldiers and civilians every of the week.  Americans are being shot, stabbed, beheaded, blown up and God knows what else everyday and the President says he expects the full cooperation of the Muslim world!  I’d hate to see if they felt an overwhelming need to hate and defy us at every turn.  With no disrespect to Mr. Rogers but sometimes I think President Obama is the reincarnation of the man in the sweater.  Quit apologizing and asking for cooperation.  It’s time to demand cooperation and back it with action!

Yesterday on ‘Winging It Wednesday’ panelist Warren Caudle suggested it was time the Administration sits down with our so-called allies in the Mid-East and explains how foreign aid will be curtailed if their actions are not more positive towards the United States.  I agree with Warren.  I think it’s time the Administration quits pussy-footing around and takes action. Almost any action would be better than the constant string of apologies flowing from the White House.

Barack Obama has been one ineffective weeny since his inauguration and I hate to think of the type of weeny he would be if reelected.
