Early voting for the October 19th primary for the 5th Congressional district along with a whole host of municipal issues continues now through Saturday, October 12th at your local Registrar of Voter's Office.  So what will you be voting for?  The following is a list of what you find on your local ballot:

Lafayette Parish- Only one item on the ballot.

Shall the City of Youngsville, State of Louisiana (the "City"), under the provisions of Act No. 246 of the 2013 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature (the "Act"), and other constitutional and statutory authority, be authorized to levy and collect a tax of four percent (4%) (the "Tax"), in perpetuity, beginning January 1, 2014, upon the paid occupancy of hotel rooms within the City (the Tax to be in addition to any other taxes thereon) (no amount reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the Tax for an entire year), with the proceeds of the Tax (after paying reasonable and necessary costs and expenses of collecting and administering the Tax) to be used to fund the construction, maintenance and operation of a multipurpose community center, economic development and tourism within the City, the term "hotel" having the meaning set forth in the Act?

Acadia Parish -  3 propositions

City of Rayne Tax proposition renewal

Shall the City of Rayne, State of Louisiana (the "City"), be authorized to continue to levy a special tax of five (5) mills tax on all the property subject to taxation within the City (an estimated $149,900 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of ten (10) years, beginning with the year 2014 and ending with the year 2023, for the purpose of constructing, maintaining and operating playgrounds and recreation centers for the City?

Bayou Plaquemine and Wikoff Drainage District Proposition (Tax Renewal)

Shall Bayou Plaquemine and Wikoff Drainage District of the Parish of Acadia, State of Louisiana (the "District"), be authorized to continue to levy a tax of five and twelve hundredths (5.12) mills on all of the property subject to taxation in the District (an estimated $99,840 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of ten (10) years, beginning with the year 2014 and ending with the year 2023, for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, improving, maintaining and operating gravity drainage works within the District?

Second Ward Gravity Drainage District No. 2 Proposition (Tax Renewal)

Shall Second Ward Gravity Drainage District No. 2 of Acadia Parish, State of Louisiana (the "District"), be authorized to continue to levy a tax of eight and eighty-nine hundredths (8.89) mills on all of the property subject to taxation in the District (an estimated $82,800 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of ten (10) years, beginning with the year 2014 and ending with the year 2023, for the purpose of acquiring, constructing, improving, maintaining and operating gravity drainage works within and for the District?

Parishwide Proposition, (School Facilities, Technology & Security Initiatives)

Shall Parishwide School District of the Parish of Iberia, State of Louisiana (the "District"), incur debt and issue bonds not exceeding $50,000,000, in one or more series, to run not exceeding 20 years from the date thereof, with interest at a rate not exceeding 8% per annum, for the purpose of acquiring and/or improving lands for building sites and playgrounds, including construction of necessary sidewalks and streets adjacent thereto; purchasing, erecting and/or improving school buildings and other school related facilities within and for the District, and acquiring the necessary equipment and furnishings therefor, and specifically for those facilities, technology and security initiatives set forth in the "Capital Improvement Plan" approved by the School Board on June 18, 2013, title to which shall be in the public; which bonds will be general obligations of the District payable from ad valorem taxes to be levied and collected in the manner provided by Article VI, Section 33 of the Constitution of the State of Louisiana of 1974, with no estimated increase in the millage rate to be levied in the first year of issue above the 21.90 mills currently being levied to pay General Obligation Bonds of the District?

Gravity Sub-Drainage District No. 1 of the Gravity Drainage District No. 2 Proposition, (Tax Renewal)

Shall Gravity Sub-Drainage District No. 1 of the Gravity Drainage District No. 2 of the Parish of St. Mary, Louisiana (the "District"), levy a nine and ninety-five hundredths (9.95) mills tax on all the property subject to taxation in the District (an estimated $455,999 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of ten (10) years, beginning with the year 2015 and ending with the year 2024, for the purpose of maintaining, operating and improving the drainage facilities in the District?

Recreation District No. 1 Proposition, (Millage Renewal)
