Officials Arrest 12-Year-Old In Fire At Alexandria School
ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) — A 12-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the fire at Alexandria's Martin Park Elementary School.
Larry King, chief of fire prevention for the Alexandria Fire Department, tells The Town Talk the juvenile, a student at Martin Park, was booked Monday with one count of simple arson. King does not expect more arrests regarding the fire.
The fire was reported about 5:39 a.m. Friday.
No one was in the building, and no injuries were reported.
Martin Park students report to the former Hadnot Elementary building on Lincoln Road on Tuesday.
