Reports of an oil slick surfacing off the Louisiana coast south of Plaquemines Parish has resulted in an ongoing investigation by the U.S. Coast Guard. Boater Rick Seither says the slick covered a large area with a coating of heavy oil. Seither says the slick is already interacting with wildlife in the area. (A Plaquesmines Parish spokesperson says in all likelihood the oil is from the BP oil spill, but they don't know for sure.)
