Crews are working to clean up an oil spill in Saint Martin Parish.

The spill was discovered late last month at the Catahoula Landing, near Catahoula Lake, and the source of the leak was an opened-bottom tank valve on a production barge. The company believes the valve opening and subsequent spill were an act of vandalism.  The water has been cleaned and crews are now focusing on cleaning the pipeline and land contaminated by the oil.
