One Arrested In New Iberia Car Burglaries, Two Warrants Issued

One person is behind bars today and warrants have been issued for two others following a string of car burglaries.

Deputies in Iberia Parish say they were able to track down the suspects believed to be responsible for some car burglaries in New Iberia.

The suspects ran away from officers on foot, but deputies were able to catch up with one of them. That person struck an officer while trying to escape, but he was eventually arrested.

Kenyatta Provost has been booked into the Iberia Parish Jail on charges of burglary and resisting arrest.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Tormichael Provost and Anthony Collins. If you know their whereabouts, call police.
