Sunday, July 22 (KPEL) — One person is dead and two others are injured after a shooting at a bar in New Iberia over the weekend.

Capt. Ryan Turner with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office says a total of three people were shot. Two of them were treated for their gunshot wounds at a local hospital.

Detectives believed an argument started inside the Mon Ami Tavern between the victims and the suspect. Turner says that argument continued into the parking lot.

Two suspects may be responsible for the shooting, Turner says, but detectives are not ruling out the possibility that others may have been involved.

If you have any information that could be of help to investigators, you’re asked to call the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office at (337) 369-3711.
