Scott Police Chief Chad Leger says 26-year-old Omar D. Washington of Rayne was one of three people who forced their way into a man’s home on Des Jacques Tuesday night, stealing his cash and credit cards as they beat him with a firearm.

Chief Leger says these suspects did this in front of the man’s girlfriend and nine-month-old son. He says they also restrained the girlfriend with duct tape before getting away.

Washington has a criminal history. He’s currently being sought for felony charges of Aggravated Burglary and Aggravated Criminal Damage To Property.

If you know of Washington’s whereabouts or anything else about the robbery, call the Scott Police Department at (337) 233-3715 or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
