Police in Abbeville have arrested a person in connection with the Saturday shooting at the Woodmen of the World Hall that injured seven people.

Vermillion Parish Sheriff Mike Couvillon said 20-year-old Bryson Provost was arrested and booked into the Vermillion Parish Correctional Center on counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Police arrested Provost Monday afternoon at his home by the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office, Couvillon said.

Seven people were shot at the hall Saturday. Police have said none of their injuries are life threatening.

The Advocate reported the investigation is being hindered because victims and witnesses are not cooperating.
