One Person In Custody Following Ville Platte Shooting

One person is in custody following an overnight shooting in Ville Platte that left one person injured.

According to KATC-TV 3, the shooting took place last night at around 11:30 p.m. on North Chatagnier Street.

Police told the television station that one person was shot in the upper leg, but police would not confirm whether or not the person in custody had been arrested or was considered a suspect in the shooting.

The case remains under investigation.
