One person was killed following an early morning crash on Cameron Street in Lafayette.

Police department spokesperson Cpl. Paul Mouton said the driver of a 2004 Nissan Sentra was driving on Cameron Street when he was unable to negotiate a curve and left the roadway. The car struck a culvert, which caused it to flip over several times and ultimately ended up on its roof.
