UPDATED: Police have identified the victim killed in a drunk driving crash Tuesday evening as 49-year-old Brian Nolan of Lafayette.

The driver of the other vehicle, 24-year-old Federico Morales, was booked into jail on charges of vehicular homicide, OWI child endangerment, failure to get a driver's license, and failure to obey the traffic signal.

Cpl. Paul Mouton with the Lafayette Police Department said there were three children in Morales' vehicle at the time of the crash. None of them were injured.

ORIGINAL: One person was killed in a drunk driving crash on Ambassador Caffery Parkway near Dulles Drive Tuesday evening.

According to Lafayette police, the driver of a Ford Expedition was traveling north on Ambassador Caffery and crashed into a Chevrolet Suburban that was traveling west on Dulles.

Police said the driver of the Suburban, a 49-year-old male, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the other vehicle, 24-year-old Federico Morales of Lafayette, was arrested and charged with vehicular  homicide, first offense OWI, and not having a driver's license.

The crash remains under investigation.
