One Suspect Arrested, Another Being Sought In Rue Royale Shooting

Lafayette Police say 30-year-old Joseph Charles Jr. turned himself in connection with Monday morning's shooting that happened in the 100 block of Rue Royale, but they are searching for another.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for 31-year-old Justin Cross of Lafayette for attempted first degree murder in connection with the shooting.

Investigators say the two went to the back of the victim's home and began firing shots into the house with an assault rifle and a shotgun.

The victim was treated and released from a local  hosptial.
