A man accused of threatening to blow up the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office is now behind bars.

Captain Megan Vizena says their Eunice substation got a call from 31-year-old Christopher Lemon of Opelousas on New Year's Eve saying he was getting gasoline and was going to blow up the Sheriff's office. Vizena says dispatch then let deputies know where Lemon was allegedly calling from, and while they were on their way, Lemon made several more calls,  repeating he would blow up the office. When deputies got to Lemon's home, Vizena says "he greeted them outside in a very aggressive manner." He was then arrested.

Lemon is currently in the St. Landry Parish Jail facing charges for telephone communication harassment, terrorizing and 8 counts of communicating false information of a planned arson.

Lemon faces no bond at this time.
