OPELOUSAS, La. (AP) — An Opelousas man whose wife's body was found buried in the yard in December has been booked with manslaughter in connection with the death.

The Advertiser reports 59-year-old Arthur Tillett was already facing charges of obstruction of justice, cruelty to the infirm and unlawful disposal of remains. St. Landry Parish sheriff's investigators located the body of his wife, Sandra Tillett, buried underneath a concrete slab in the couple's yard.

Sixty-four-year-old Sandra Tillett was reported missing after her daughter contacted the sheriff's office from out of state and said she last spoke to her mother in June and hadn't been able to reach her.

It was unclear whether Arthur Tillett has an attorney.
