Captain Megan Vizena of the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a man on a variety of charges related to a home invasion.  “On September 17, Detectives interviewed 19-year-old Jamez Brown, A.K.A. “Black” of Opelousas, regarding a home invasion. Brown admitted to firing two gun shots through the door to gain entry into the residence."  Detectives say that Brown then told them he pointed a shotgun at the heads of the victims.

Authorities also say that Brown admitted to leaving the scene of the crime in the victim’s car.

Captain Vizena goes on to say, “Brown did not act alone in this crime. He was accompanied by two juveniles who detectives also charged with home invasion,” Vizena added.

Both juveniles charged in this case have been sent to St. James Juvenile Detention Center.

Brown has been charged with home invasion, armed robbery, theft of a firearm, unauthorized use of a moveable and two counts contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
