A 19-year-old Opelousas man has been arrested by authorities in St. Landry Parish for allegedly robbing a man at gunpoint.

According to Capt. Megan Vizena with the sheriff's office, the victim was approached by Deandre Jaleel Leday at around midnight on June 10, who asked him to borrow his cell phone. As the victim was handing the phone to Leday, Vizena said an unknown suspect pointed a pump shotgun to the victim's head while Leday stole his wallet from his vehicle.

Leday was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail without incident. Police are still trying to identify the second suspect.
