Operation April Fool Leads To Patterson Man’s Arrest

St. Mary parish Narcotics agents were helping Morgan City Police with their Operation April Fool when they arrested a convicted felon for illegal possession of a firearm.

Officers say they found a gun belonging to 23-year-old Dana Cross at a home in Centerville, and since he is a convicted felon the law prohibits him from possessing it.

Detectives were able to track Cross down at the Morgan City Jail were he was taken for another warrant for his arrest on another issue.

He was then taken to the St. Mary Parish Jail for booking.
