OWI Checkpoint

Lafayette Police conducted a sobriety checkpoint Friday night on Johnston Street. During the course of the operation, just over 900 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. Twenty-three drivers were stopped for secondary testing; four of those drivers were arrested and charged with OWI.

In addition to those arrests, 28 citations were issued for various violations.
