OWI Checkpoint In Lafayette

Lafayette Police continue their crackdown on impaired driving.

An OWI checkpoint will be conducted Saturday night from 9 pm to 3 am within the incorporated limits of the city. The purpose of the checkpoint is to target impaired drivers under the influence of alcohol or any other dangerous substance.

Officers working the checkpoint will respond with zero tolerance to those drivers found to be under the influence.

Designate a driver if you intend to drink. By not doing so you may have to pay costly fines and face serious jail time.
